Itinerary

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be transferred to Negombo, a charming coastal city with a rich history influenced by Portuguese, Dutch, and Sinhala culture. Known as “Little Rome” for its large Catholic community, Negombo features landmarks like Negombo Fort and St. Mary’s Church. The city is also a bustling fishing hub, with the famous Negombo Fish Market showcasing the day’s fresh catch. Visit the Negombo Lagoon, home to diverse wildlife and a thriving fishing industry, where you can enjoy a scenic cruise and spot birds, reptiles, and other native animals. Negombo offers a perfect mix of history, culture, and natural beauty for a relaxing introduction to Sri Lanka.

After breakfast, transfer to Anuradhapura and relax at the hotel. Rajarata Hotel offers a royal atmosphere with modern comforts, located close to the city’s historic and religious sites. Enjoy warm hospitality and a comfortable stay. Overnight at Rajarata Hotel (2 nights).

Anuradhapura – One of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, Anuradhapura is famous for its well-preserved ruins and as a historic center of Theravada Buddhism. Key highlights include ancient dagobas, monasteries, bathing tanks, and the sacred Bo-Tree dating back to 245 BC.

After breakfast, transfer to Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage city and the last capital of Sri Lanka's ancient kings. Visit the Spice Garden, watch a Cultural Dance Show, and explore the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a sacred Buddhist site. Kandy is known for its tea plantations and rich cultural heritage. The spice trade flourished here, with cinnamon becoming a major export to Europe. After breakfast, transfer to Colombo for a city tour. Visit the Old Parliament Building, Independence Memorial Hall, Gangaramaya Temple, and the Old Colombo Dutch Hospital.
